Updated Escalation Email Instructions
Action Required by Department: Share the following information with all human resources (HR) office employees.
Description: The Personnel and Payroll Services Division, Operations Bureau has updated the Escalation Email Instructions. The Escalation Email was established a central email inbox to escalate personnel and payroll inquiries for Statewide Department HR offices. Supervisors and Managers in HR Offices can now direct their communication to PPSDOps@sco.ca.gov.
Please keep in mind State Controller's Office’s (SCO) primary method of communication for escalations is by email. When agencies receive a response from a SCO Program Specialist asking for additional documentation, departments must submit the requested items within two business days to the requesting specialist. If the Program Specialist does not receive the additional documentation within two business days the inquiry will be considered closed and the escalation will need to be resubmitted as a new inquiry.
