ConnectHR Telework Stipend Resources

Action Required by Department:   Share the following information with all human resources (HR) office employees. 

Description: The State Controller’s Office (SCO) has released updated versions of the following resources to support the processing of the Telework Stipend Pay Differential digitally using the ConnectHR platform. See below: 

The updated version of the Telework Stipend Template must be used to create the batch payment file. File created using the older version of the Telework Stipend Template will not be accepted.

Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB) Reminders

Action Required by Department:  Share the following information with all human resources (HR) office employees.

Description: The State Controller's Office (SCO), Personnel and Payroll Services Division is sharing the following reminders to HR offices to assist with processing Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB) related transactions.

  • OPEB Collective Bargaining Identifier (CBID) – OPEB CBID is a computer-generated item in the Employment History (EH) system.  HR offices must process a 126 transaction to initiate, update, or change the employee’s OPEB CBID or Employee CBID.  A 126 transaction should only be effective on the first day of a pay period, whether updating Employee CBID or OPEB CBID. If the employee’s OPEB CBID is changing, you must enter the Employee CBID to update the OPEB CBID.
  • Permanent Intermittent Employee - When a Permanent Intermittent employee works the appropriate number of hours and becomes eligible for retirement and you key enter a 505 transaction to effect the employee’s retirement status, you must also key enter a 126 transaction to computer generate the employee’s OPEB CBID.
