Ethnic Origin – Moving From Employment History PIMS to the Affordable Care Act System (ACAS

Action Required by Department: Share the following information with all human resource (HR) office employees.

Description: The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) modified the Form 1070, State Employee Race/Ethnicity Questionnaire, to reflect seventeen (17) valid designation options in compliance with Assembly Bill 532 and Government Code Section 8310.9. To allow one or more selections per employee, the State Controller's Office (SCO) will implement a change to move the Ethnic Origin from Employment History PIMS to the Affordable Care Act System (ACAS) effective March 7, 2022.
