Fourth Follow-up to December 2020 Pay Period - Employee Contributions for State Disability Insurance (SDI) Program
Action Required by Department: Share the following information with all departmental human resources (HR) employees.
Description: Resolution for the December 2020 pay period SDI under withholding.
The State Controller’s Office (SCO) will be sending out Excel spreadsheets over the next few days for the Agency Collection Accounts Receivables (A/Rs) that were established for the SDI underpayment. SCO asks HR Offices to be prepared to respond quickly with information on which employees have already made payments and/or satisfied their A/Rs through the Agency Collection method. A quick response will ensure that SCO has adequate time to stage the change method of collection from Agency Collection to Payroll Deduction so that December 2020 adjustment contributions can be taken from the March 2021 monthly pay period via payroll deduction.
