Final Follow-up to December 2020 Pay Period - Employee Contributions for State Disability Insurance (SDI) Program
Action Required by Department: Share the following information with all departmental human resources (HR) and accounting office employees.
Description: This broadcast email serves as the final communication on this Subject. During March 22, 2021 processing of the March 2021 pay period monthly payroll, the State Controller’s Office (SCO) processed the Accounts Receivable (A/R) change method from Agency Collection to Payroll Deduction and an automatic payroll deduction to satisfy established A/Rs for those employees participating in the SDI Program during the December 2020 pay period.
Please validate payroll results for each of the impacted employees against the Excel spreadsheet you have been working from. If you find A/Rs that remain unsatisfied due to employee separation, leave of absence, etc., follow the A/R process as outlined in the Payroll Procedures Manual (PPM), Section I. Payroll Adjustment Notice forms (Std. 674) requiring manual processing should be submitted to PPSDSDI2021@sco.ca.gov. In the remarks section of the form please reference: Payroll Letter #20-030 - 2021 SDI Rate. This is a dedicated email box for inquiries and requests for assistance, specific to this workload.
