Holiday Credit Posting
Action Required by Department: Share the following information with all departmental human resources (HR) employees and take appropriate action as necessary.
Description: The State Controller’s Office (SCO), Leave Accounting Program has completed voiding all transactions for employees who had a non-qualifying pay period for the month of January and had a Holiday Credit posted. This is in response to an erroneous posting, as Leave Letter 21-012 stated these employees should not have Holiday Credit in Lieu of Saturday Holiday time posted through the SCO’s automated process. Affected employees should have a voided transaction in the Leave Accounting System and departments should proceed to post the Holiday Credit, in Lieu of Saturday Holiday, for the January 1st holiday for any employees who are eligible to receive the time.
For questions or concerns related to this issue, please contact the Leave Accounting Unit at (916) 327-0756 or via email at clas@sco.ca.gov.
