Management Information Retrieval System (MIRS) New eLearning Module

Action Required:        Share the following information with all human resources (HR) office staff responsible for executing MIRS reports.

Description:    The State Controller's Office (SCO), Personnel and Payroll Services Division (PPSD), is pleased to share a new MIRS eLearning module.

The MIRS Procedure Writing – Customizations eLearning module is available to view on the SCO website’s MIRS Training webpage. This is the sixth and final module of the initial eLearning modules. The module explains how to customize reports with totals, headings, footings, custom titles, current date and time, custom field formatting, and line spacing.

The MIRS initial eLearning modules now also have evaluations. The link to each module’s evaluation is found below the link for the initial training module, located on the SCO website’s MIRS Training page. Please take the time to fill out the evaluation for each module that you view. Your feedback is appreciated, and will help us to provide our users with the highest level of quality training materials.

Request to Logoff of the Management Information Retrieval System (MIRS)

Action Required by Department:  The Management Information Retrieval System (MIRS) will be down beginning at 3:00 pm as of today, Monday, December 12, 2022. Any users still logged onto MIRS at 3:00 p.m. will be administratively logged off. Please logoff MIRS until further notice. Remaining users logged in or attempting to login after 3:00 p.m. today will prevent the recovery update from processing for the incident detailed below.

Date Incident Identified:  December 12, 2022

Description:  The CSPMTS File is generating a (FOC 198) “Fatal Error” message at this time. To resolve the issue, SCO staff will perform a recovery update to the system, requiring all users to be logged off. A follow-up broadcast email will be sent out when users can login to MIRS again.

Population Affected: Human Resource staff responsible for running reports in MIRS.
