Section 2 – PAR Items, Lines 1 - 7 of the Personnel Action Manual (PAM) is updated. Areas of revision are noted by the revised date on the Table of Contents page at the beginning of the section, and by the revision date within the subtitle of each section.

California State Payroll System (CSPS) Project Newsletter – Third Quarter

Description: The State Controller's Office (SCO), Personnel and Payroll Services Division’s (PPSD) CSPS Project is excited to share the third quarter edition of our CSPS quarterly newsletter. This issue features information on the CalATERS project now under CSPS, the launch of a Bidders Survey, and the Basics of the CSPS project for those that are new. The CSPS Project quarterly newsletter outlines the current activities, project achievements, and provides information on what to expect next. We are excited to share the continued progress of the project as we take a deeper dive into project activities.

Automation of Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB) Contributions
Action Required by Department: Share the following information with all human resource (HR) office employees.
Description: On September 1, 2021, the State Controller's Office (SCO) will implement a change to automate the withholding of Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB) in the Uniform State Payroll System. Please see below the resources that have been added or updated on the SCO website to reflect the change.
