2022 Benefits Open Enrollment Resources

Action Required by Department: Share the following information with all human resource (HR) office employees.

Description: The annual Benefits Open Enrollment period for health, dental, Premier Vision, and all FlexElect accounts runs from September 19 to October 14, 2022. All open enrollment actions will be effective January 1, 2023. The Statewide Civil Service (SCS) Benefits program has put together resources to assist HR offices during the open enrollment period.  Please see below, the 2022 Benefits Open Enrollment resources that have been added on the SCO website:

Temporary Cancellation of Default Student Loan Garnishments Update

Action Required by Department:      Share the following information with all human resources (HR) office employees.

Description: On August 24, 2022, the United States (U.S.) Secretary of Education extended the suspension period through December 31, 2022, for U.S. Department of Education owned student loans. This extension results in a temporary cancellation of default student loan garnishments. The State Controller's Office (SCO) issued Payroll letter 22-014 on August 23, 2022, please disregard this letter.  SCO will issue a new Payroll Letter with instructions for reestablishing the garnishments prior to the January 2023 pay period.
