Department Agency Readiness Team (DART) Program

Each agency and department will have a Department Agency Readiness Team, also referred to as a DART, to support them through the changes that occur during the transition from the current state to the future state. Made up of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other individuals who best know the culture and processes of their department, the DART will have the responsibility of shaping how their organization adopts the new changes. Through the DARTs, agencies and departments are empowered to manage their own readiness activities, and ultimately, to implement the California State Payroll System solution into their operations.

With coordination and direction from the DART Liaison, DART members complete project-related activities and tasks and lead change within their department.

DARTs also provide a conduit to share advice and voice concerns with the project team from their department. For example, DART members may communicate impacts, risks, and other relevant knowledge to the CSPS Project Team via the bridge between the Department Liaison and the OCM ACE.

Through partnership, collaboration, and communication, the OCM Team supports and guides DARTs, ensuring that their departments are ready to adopt the new system. The goal is to create a dynamic where department knowledge and expertise are leveraged during the change process, and readiness is tailored to a department’s needs. This bridge allows for consistent, two-way communication between the departments and the CSPS Project Team.
