Direct Deposit Process Change Effective January 1, 2025
Action Required: Share the following information with all human resources (HR) office employees and take appropriate action, as necessary.
Description: Effective January 1, 2025, the State Controller's Office (SCO) will no longer accept STD. 699 Direct Deposit Enrollment forms. All direct deposit requests must be submitted online. See options below:
- Cal Employee Connect (CEC):
- Employees create or access their account in CEC
- Employees are required to be on their departmental network to enroll in Direct Deposit or make changes to an existing enrollment
- Access the Employee Services tab and then select Direct Deposit
- If the employee is new to state service, they will need their first warrant to create the account.
- Enable Multifactor Authentication (MFA) to the CEC account.
- If MFA is not enabled, then the Direct Deposit Feature will not be available.
- Direct Deposit File Generator:
- For agencies with employees that do not have access to CEC, please complete a Direct Deposit 699 file generator interest form found at Direct Deposit.
- Cancelation:
- Agency to contact the Direct Deposit program at (916) 372-7200 and select option 1.
