Housing and Infrastructure

Controller Malia M. Cohen is dedicated to creating incentives that will increase the number of affordable housing units in California, an area where demand consistently outpaces supply. Controller Cohen also serves on several boards that oversee bond issuance and tax credit allocation to fund major infrastructure improvements in California, including health and educational facilities, major transportation projects such as high-speed rail, and critical earthquake safety upgrades.
